Commission FAQs:

Q: What is a "Family Bouquet"?

A: A "Family Bouquet" is one of my favorite projects to create! I paint and stitch a unique bouquet or garden image comprised of the birth month flowers of your choosing. Each month of the year has one or two designated birth month flowers from which I select, and every bouquet I create for customers is one-of-a-kind. For example, a family with birthdays in May, August, and October would receive an artwork with lily of the valley, poppy, and cosmos.

Q: What is the process to commission a piece of art?

A: First, complete the appropriate "Request Form" linked above. I will contact you to discuss your vision -- if we mutually agree that I'm the artist for the job, I will email you a contract that outlines the scope of the project. Once I receive the signed contract and a 50% deposit, we're good to go! The balance is due before the artwork is shipped to you.

Q: How much does a commissioned artwork cost?

A: Price is dependent upon the size of the piece, the complexity of the content, and whether or not framing is included.  Pricing also takes material cost into consideration, as I use archival-quality paints and I source vintage frames. Pricing for Family Bouquet pieces can be found HERE.  Price quotes for any type of commission do not include the cost of shipping.

Q: How long does a commissioned artwork take?

A: My usual turnaround time is four weeks from the date that I receive your signed contract and deposit.

Q: Are commissions framed?

A: They can be--it's completely up to you! Framed pieces extend the artwork image onto the surface of a vintage wooden frame. If you'd like your commission to be completed in this style, just let me know!
